Skateboard News Grab Bag: Forbes on Dyrdek, Skateboarding and Rap, Montreal's Big O

Forbes has covered Rob Dyrdek *, who says "...I wanted to skate, and if I wasn't going to skate, then I would do something in the skateboard industry". Rob is the star of MTV *'s 'reality' show Rob & Big. A Connecticut * newspaper has waxed philosophical on the topics of skateboarding and rap -- the why, the how, the when. The connection is undeniable. Also, Montreal, Canada *'s "Big O" skatespot has been immortalized in a new book and article in the local newspaper. The apparently near-perfect halfpipe was built for the 1976 Olympics. Says 20-year Big O skater Marc Tison, the spot, "is a gift from the skate gods." (Full Article) Search *
