"Lords Of Dogtown" Skateboard Movie to Follow "Dogtown and Z-Boys"

Casting is partly complete for "Lords of Dogtown *," the fictional take on Stacy Peralta *'s"Dogtown and Z-Boys *". The film is to follow a group of surfers who were instrumental in starting the skateboard movement in Venice/Santa Monica (Dogtown) in the 1970s. The cast is to include Nikki Reed ("Thirteen"), Heath Ledger, Emile Hirsch ("The Girl Next Door") Victor Rasuk ("Raising Victor Vargas") and John Robinson ("Elephant"), who will reportedly play Stacy Peralta. "Green" Skateboard Invented

e2e Materials of Ithica, New York *, has announced a biodegradable composite which is made completely of plant materials and which can, at least in concept, be used to make skateboards. Skate park proposed for city of Rowlett, Texas

"The Herfurth Park pool has probably seen its last butterfly stroke and water aerobics class. City officials say it's time to fill it up with concrete and turn it over to the grinders.
